Gasoline prices treading water following storms, average $3.80

Vermont Business Magazine Average gasoline prices in Vermont are up slightly to $3.80/g, an increase of 1 cent per gallon from last week, up 19 cents/g from last month and down 37 cents/g from a year ago. The lowest price in the state yesterday was $3.43/g in Ludlow while the highest was $3.93/g in Arlington.

Average gasoline prices in Burlington have risen 0.5 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $3.85/g today, according to GasBuddy's survey of 100 stations in Burlington. Prices in Burlington are 22.4 cents per gallon higher than a month ago and stand 35.1 cents per gallon lower than a year ago.

According to GasBuddy price reports, the cheapest station in Burlington was priced at $3.69/g yesterday while the most expensive was $3.89/g, a difference of 20.0 cents per gallon.

The national average price of gasoline is down 5 cents from last week, also averaging $3.80/g today. The national average is up 22 cents per gallon from a month ago and stands 6 cents per gallon lower than a year ago, according to GasBuddy data compiled from more than 11 million weekly price reports covering over 150,000 gas stations across the country.

The national average price of diesel has risen 2.1 cents in the last week and stands at $4.297 per gallon.
